I will have a dove lease this fall and would like to bring my 5 1/2 year old son out to the fields a few times. My intent is to give him some exposure. I think he is still too young/small for his own gun and will just tag along. But I am curious, when did others take their kids out to the fields for the first time? How old were they when you let them shoot? What kind of gun did you let them shoot? Did you modify the setup; shorter stock, lighter load, adapter??
