That has apparently happened at UNLV, where quarterback Matthew Sluka has opted to refuse to play for the Rebels, invoking his redshirt year in advance of another transfer in 2024..............note his play has been significant for UNLV.........

It's not the first example of an NIL deal gone bad. Earlier this year, Georgia quarterback Jaden Rashada sued Florida State and others for $13.85 million over the failure to honor an NIL agreement.
So does this become a trend as one has to think NIL deals will falter at times? He quits the team so does the university immediately drop his classes? Do they make him pay back the scholarship? Seems fair.
Up to now, the University or college was supposed to be a step away from paying NILs to does FSU get dismissed while the case goes on with the others? How does that impact the locker room or relationship with the coaches?
It was also noted that other programs had apparently contact him or his agent with a new higher valued deal. Does that cross some line?
