She is trying to fill out college apps, some are asking for weighted GPA’s others for unweighted. Her weighted GPA is 4.303, that is on her transcript. Her unweighted GPA is not on transcript, but her counselor told her it is a 3.23 and that doesn’t sound correct. I put all her core classes into a GPA calculator online and got 4.24 weighted and 3.74 unweighted.
I emailed her counselor and she insists it’s 3.23 unweighted, but didn’t explain to me how that was computed.
I have calculated unweighted several different ways and can’t get anything less than 3.7
