How many of you live in Austin? Do you plan to stay?
I’ve lived here since 2007 when my wife at the time wanted to move here. Since divorced but my daughter is a freshman at Westlake High. I’m not leaving until she graduates but this city is absolute trash. Admittedly, I had the Aggie chip on my shoulder when we first moved here but gradually it went away after making friends here, mostly other Aggies. I started to like the city and all that it had to offer. 2012-2018 were good years here. As you all know it’s always been a blue city and homelessness and weird shit has been in its DNA forever. But, the left has invaded in full force. It has become a sh!thole in every way. Anti police , pro-criminal rights, incredibly high taxes, homeless people everywhere, trash everywhere, streets in terrible condition. I’m tethered to this dump for 4 more years until my daughter graduates. Curious how other Ags that live here feel about this liberal dump and do you plan to stay?
