Been to a gun range recently. Bullet holes in the wall next to you and up above you in a lot of places.

Guy get a hot round into his shirt and he tries to get it out, points gun at self, it discharges through his cheek. Lucky it was not worse.

My first reaction is you cannot fix stupid especially if they have not gone to training.

2nd reaction is the Range Safety Officer for the range should have made the guy have a closed shirt, possibly worn a cap, and been obervant enough to possibly prevent this. Many ranges do not provide real monitoring of the range which has led to some lawsuits against ranges.

Too many accidental discharges because people have not gotten training. One guy in the metroplex is sitting in jail with manslaughter charge for his pistol going off in the apartment, going through the wall, and hitting/killing the guy next door. Aggie student was killed by his best friend while handling a pistol after a night of drinking.

Of course there is the utube video of a guy who likes to makes videos of how to shoot but doing a fast draw exercise with his semi-auto, it discharges as he draws it entering the skin and traveling down before exiting just before his knee. He later showed slow action videos of this explaining what he did wrong.

Love to shoot. Run ranges at times. Teach others to shoot. Bird shooting has the highest number of accidents right now but someone killed someone this past fall early in the day as he shot multiple times at something moving. Be safe with your firearms and make people around do the same.
