So Beard used us to get a raise. From what Peteo said, we didn’t do anything wrong. Beard just backed out.
My question is why our AD was so naive to think this wouldn’t happen. From the reporting on this site, Trev was all-in on Beard.
It’s one thing to make a hard run at someone. It’s another to get so deep that you neglect other options. That’s just a retarded way to operate given how cut-throat this business is. We don’t read a room very well. Which is embarrassing given how much Trev gets paid.
Maybe it’s not fatal. Maybe we hire a great mid major coach that’s up and coming. But doesn’t give much confidence in Trev. Especially after the baseball hire.
