Perception seems to be pretty high around the country after our win against ASU. Overall the defense far exceeded my expectations. I felt like we could have a top 40 D with all the talent we have on that side of the ball but the way we played Saturday we could end up with a Top 25 D. ASU will end up having a pretty good O when it's all said and done.
On to the offense. It fell quite a bit short of expectations and that falls squarely on the shoulders of our O-line and more specifically at left guard. We will struggle mightily against the likes of Bama and LSU if we don't get the O-line fixed but if we do look out, this team will win 10+ games. I think ASU's defense was really good, especially their front 7, it was a good challenge but we'll face tougher challenges down the road. All and all I think this team is easily a top 10 team if we can come together on our O-line and stay healthy. Just think how nasty the D will be when Alaka, Walker and Hilliard get back on the field. Good times ahead.
