Was on a three day trip, got back to the house to a nice cool temp of 88 degrees. Downstairs unit stopped working. Of coarse this is a Sunday evening. Called out a service, they end up saying unit is shot. Needs to be replaced. 5 ton unit and replacing the condenser and stuff in the attic. 7K. Fair? Carrier unit. The old one was 19 yrs old.
