When Bowen Loftin left, A&M went from being VERY serious about football, to the current pretty serious about football. With Loftin still running things, that contract doesn't happen. Technically Loftin was still employed at A&M at the time of the contract, but I seriously doubt he was involved.
Sumlin with something to prove is great HC. Should have structured his contract heavy on incentives. You can have all the facilities in the world, but you still need good recruiters. No reason on God's green earth that Ole Miss can recruit as well as they do in TX in head to heads with A&M.
