I'll say up front this may be a really dumb question, so there, I'm the first to say it. But thinking ahead to LSU and back to BAMA, what about employing a 5-2 on defense? I know speed is the biggest issue, but we're super thin at LB and DL is a strength:
Hall-Obi-Mack(nose)-Zo-Superman
Backed by two surviving LBs, two safeties and two corners? Would that have any chance of shutting down the ground game and daring the offense to throw?
