Texts were flying yesterday afternoon as reports of 4 shark attacks on SPI hit my phone yesterday. I haven’t been back on Twitter for updates. I know of two confirmed attacks.

The first occurred at 11 am about 3 miles north of the last one. A man’s upper thigh was bit near Wanna Wanna Beach restaurant. The last one occurred near Isla Blanca Park. A young ladies calf got bit clean off. Texas Parks and Wildlife reported the attacks happened by the same shark. As of yesterday, no deaths reported.

You can see the shark cruising the beach between the first and second sand bar. He looks like a 7 foot bull shark but I’m novice at shark identification. This shark was undoubtedly hunting humans.

This is the first time in my lifetime hearing about a shark attack on SPI. It blew my mind. A real Jaws episode here.
