Covid 19/ vaccine

Can we discuss now in a more rational way with the information we have today? The World health organization now believes it came from the lab in China. It is well established the virus was in the US since 2019, yet the hospitals were not overflowing with sick people. I had two family members that were sick early 2020 both tested negative for the flu and strep but the Dr. Said they had the flu and treated them like they had the flu. Even with all the covid cases being called the flu it was a slow flu season. So what happened that made everyone get scared? Why are hospitals not overflowing today?
How did people believe a new vaccine was safer then ivermectin? Why are people still getting the vaccine when it is proven to be ineffective? Why do people still trust the CDC, and the FDA after they have been proven liars?

2nd down play calling last 3 SEC games, definitive answer to, do we run "all the time," or "90% of the time" etc.

Now, maybe you can further analyze our redzone plays and relying on short yardage runs (the Dan Campbell effect without their o-line and D Montgomery and J Gibbs)

but saying we "always" run on 2nd down is not a true statement

Any and all runs by Reed, either designed or tuck and run, will be considered a run

Last 3 SEC games,

31 runs out of 62 second down plays (50%)

31 passes out of 62 second down plays (50%)

vs South Carolina

Excluding the last drive of game of just running out the clock with 5 straight runs on all downs:

8 runs (47%)

9 passes (53%)

vs Auburn

All second plays in regulation

13 runs (48%)

14 passes (52%)

vs Texas

10 runs (56%)

8 passes (44%)

The Crazy Part of the new CFP

The amount of additional games needed to win it all. Seriously, SEC Champion would still need 4 more games (SEC Championship, bye, Quarerfinals, Semifinals, Championship). Loser of SEC Championship would need 5 (SEC Championship, First Round, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Championship).

That’s almost an extra half-season…during a key recruiting period…when traditionally kids have sat out to prepare for the draft. That’s a lot of extra wear and tear on these kids. 4-5 weeks of additional injuries. Seriously, how do they juggle recruiting AND game prep? Or does being the CFP automatically bring a recruiting bump?

Shelby County Land Men?

I inherited a mineral/oil lease on a few acres in Shelby County, and Silver Hill Energy has drilled a couple of wells expected to come on line next year. Current lease expires March ‘25 and they want to extend. I’m wondering what the going rates are and what leverage I might have if any? It’s in the Haynesville/Middle Bossier Field or whatever the unit’s called. Any Land Men with local knowledge here on AY?
