Despite my existence in the greatest sports region of the entire country, I don’t follow the Texas Rangers closely. I watch a lot of Astros games.
Why are they still on the struggle bus? Inconsistent hitting? Who in the lineup has fallen off? No starting pitching? Bunch of blown games by the relief corp?
What’s going on?
For those not following the Astros, playing in Mexico City has been the turning point. They haven’t yet hit their stride but they’ve figured things out. They’re playing much better as a team. They’re getting better contribution from everywhere in the lineup and on the mound than they got early in the season.
