It's all over except for the crying and gnashing of teeth, but that's all coming in Tallahassee. FSU has white-flagged it and are actively looking for replacements. They're also trying to find a way that Jimbo does NOT coach Saturday without triggering his contract buyout. They're trying to find something amenable to both sides so they can get this divorce over with.
Two other notes: one, don't be surprised if the price tag A&M shells out is over the $7.5 million a year that you've heard from me, Brent and everyone else. One source told me yesterday that Fisher "will own the athletic department" when he signs on. It's a heavy price. Two, so far, I know of only one assistant from FSU who is sure to follow Jimbo over to College Station. Add in a new defensive coordinator (from South Carolina) and this could be fun to follow for a few weeks.
