NOTES:

Texas A&M hit the practice field in full pads around 6:20pm. Even as I sit in my car at 8pm and edit the temperature is reading 99°. You can tell the team has adjusted and prepared very well throughout the summer for the heat and humidity.

Strength and Conditioning coach Mark Hocke's energy to kick off practice is contagious. The players have really bought in to his philosophy and style of conditioning. Coach Hocke and the players gelled well with one another throughout the summer months and it's evident in the way the players respond to him.

There were several NFL teams present including the Patriots, Titans and Seahawks.

The Aggies began with prayer, stretch and then did a special teams coverage/hit drill shown in the highlights. Following that the offense went into the two minute quick drill against air. The first team was led by Nick Starkel; second team Jake Hubenak; third team Kellen Mond.

After that the Aggies broke out into individuals, and the biggest note here was Justin Dunning was with the defensive ends. Coach Terry Price took the time in several occasions to show Dunning proper technique as he worked the remainder of the time (that media was allowed in practice) with the ends.
