For all the attention Ryan Day has gotten over the past day or two, it would bear watching to the west. Not to Washington, but Arizona.
I've been told (and Landyn has too) that Arizona coach Jedd Fisch has become a very real candidate to become the next head coach at Texas A&M. He blew away his interview and checks a lot of boxes.
Fisch is 47 years old. Arizona, which virtually no quality recruits to speak of, is now ranked 17th in the nation and has won 5 in a row. He has both college and NFL experience, having been the offensive coordinator for the Vikings and the Jags. He was also the offensive coordinator at Miami in 2011-12 under Al Golden.
Fisch was the offensive coordinator and interim head coach at UCLA and the QB coach at Michigan.
He would also be available by the Dec. 4 deadline, as the probably won't be in the Pac-12 title game and aren't a CFP team. All the same, his work at Arizona has been remarkable.
So watch out for Fisch.
