Some Ags are attacking Jimbo about his public comments that the raw greed in Realignment is ruining college ball. They claim his salary has the same effect. That's dumber than dirt. Jimbo or Saban or any other high paid coach's salaries will not ruin college ball - but Realignment, plus NIL & Free Agency for some players, but not all will combine to make a billions of dollar chaos that most assuredly will lead to the death of the game.

There will be no way these Realignment clowns can assure undisputed conference championships and yearly contests between rivals, some of whose rivalries are over 100 years old. Teams will be playing other teams they only see every 20 years or so, but who will be "conference mates" and key to season success. Conference costs will escalate to billions of dollars per year, adversely impacting both ticket prices as well as TV contracts, probably bring on pay-for-view game TV, and driving fans interest to drop thru the floor.. Team loyalty and integrity will disappear as differences in NIL, or lack thereof with some players, and sky high with others, has its effect. Forget about any player's interest in getting a free education or membership in his school's alumni association
In short college ball will become a rich man's game only and stadiums will be empty and eventually destroyed or converted to housing for the local homeless.
Lots of coaches like Jimbo, Saban, PSU'S coach have good reason to be more than just a tad concerned.
