COLLEGE STATION – The 2016 Men’s Basketball SEC Championship is on the line Saturday when the No. 20 Aggies host Vanderbilt inside Reed Arena at 11 a.m. A large crowd is expected as Texas A&M enters its regular season finale tied atop the SEC standings and aiming to claim its first conference title since 1986.
Texas A&M Athletics is seeking to remind fans of several important points of information.
HONORING AGGIE SENIORS POST-GAME
Immediately following Saturday’s game, Texas A&M men’s basketball will honor its six senior players (Juan Aparicio, Alex Caruso, Anthony Collins, Kyle Dobbins, Danuel House and Jalen Jones) as well as one senior manager (John Evans) on the court. Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats and off the court in accordance with SEC regulations as we pay tribute to the outstanding contributions these young men have made to Aggie Basketball.
REED ARENA PARKING INFO
With the large crowd expected at Reed Arena as well as spectators arriving early for Saturday’s baseball game at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Parking (2 p.m.), fans are reminded that pregame and postgame traffic around Reed Arena may be more congested than it has been in the recent past and they should plan to arrive early for the game.
Fans are encouraged to visit http://transport.tamu.edu/parking/events/da.aspx or download the Destination Aggieland App for the best information on campus traffic as well as the best routes to and from Reed Arena. Real-time traffic updates will also be provided via Twitter:@GetToAggieGame.
STUDENT TICKET INFO: VANDERBILT
• The traditional student sections behind both goals have been reserved for students for the Vanderbilt game. Students should arrive at Reed Arena early to ensure they will have a seat.
• Reed Rowdies can enter the arena beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the game. Regular student entry begins at 9:45 a.m.
• Students can enter at the North or South Doors marked for student entry
• To be admitted at the student entry, students must be currently registered and have purchased a Student Sports Pass in the Fall.
• Students MUST present their Texas A&M Student ID to be swiped for admission.
• Maps showing designated Student Seating will be posted in the Arena. All student seating is general admission.
