I'm having a fascinating time listening to Podcasts on my commute each day. It doesn't matter if it's the Late Kick, Andy Stapes, etc, they all are warning that Nick Saban is giving advanced notice to the College Football world that if this new NIL and transfer portal process is what we want College Football to become, well he's going to rule it.

It is too funny to hear them all completely forget that Bama, UGA, TN, Auburn, Florida etc have all been giving pay to play to their recruits for decades. Now that NIL has brought it all into the public view, these old guard schools are worried. They can not compete with the schools that have extremely wealthy Alumni. So they want it to be like it used to be, where a couple hundred grand for a 5 star got you his LOI. Now that it's going to take millions, it is weeding them out. They know A&M is going to be able to significantly beat any offer they can give to a recruit, and now it comes down to the recruiters and the draw. And with A&M the new exciting destination, Bama and the rest know it's not if, it's when A&M ascends to their rightful place atop the CFB elite.
