Hey everyone, I need suggs/reccos in regards to an uncontested divorce from my wife. We have been married for 17 years with no children. We decided to split debt and I agreed to pay 50% of my military retirement (pretty standard) to her until she gets remarried. We filed in Rusk County and paid a paralegal to assist. The judge called her on Friday and denied our divorce decree that we had written out. When she asked him why, he flat out said he wasn't explaining his decision to a layman. Is this normal? My wife and I amicably want to divorce and move on with our lives but we'd rather not have to pay so damn much money for what should be a simple uncontested divorce. Any advice would be appreciated..
