This was game 3 of a new coaching staff with, what 27 transfers, new offense, new defense. We did look slow against ND, but ND had NFL talent on their team and had been playing in their systems for several years. Anyone who had played any kind of sport will tell you that indecision and hesitancy will slow you down or cost you a game. And, our players were playing together for the first time. And, BG is better than 4-5 SEC teams, right now. BG could beat Auburn, Arkansas, MissSt, and Vandy right now. And, they way Mizzou looked, I would not be surprised, at all, if they could take out the Tigers. Or, give them a good scare. They took Pen St, a top 10 ranked team, to the wire. Penn St had to come from behind to win. We lead the game the whole way. If connect on a few more plays, the game would have been a blowout victory. And, that is the frustrating part. I am hoping our players took away a lesson about never giving up because BG never did. They caused a fumble at the end that they should have been able to score on, but our defense kept them out of the endzone. Their HC is going to get big time offers after this season, if not already, from Power 5 programs.
