These stories intrigue me for some reason. In pro wrestling (i.e. the fake stuff), scripted matches can turn into fights (or "shoots") when something goes wrong. Someone inadvertently hurts someone, some old personal beef, someone deviates from the script, etc. I met a guy once that was in the ECW and he had good stories about shoots.
I recently heard a story about a shoot with Antonio Inoki. He's a legendary Japanese pro wrestler, and was instrumental for getting Japanese MMA started. He even had a terrible, terrible exhibition fight with Ali once. Anyway, he was matched against some Croatian guy. When the match started, the guy wouldn't sell any of Inoki's kicks or punches (i.e. act like they hurt). He smacked Inoki a few times on the head, and Inoki lost his patience and beat the shit out of the guy. Here's the video.
It's even funnier when you realize that this guy could be Deathburger if he really, really let himself go.
