1. The kick catch interference rule - if the guy catches the ball, then there shouldn't be a penalty. Obviously if you caught the ball, there wasn't enough interference to warrant the penalty. Similar to pass interference. If the ball is caught, usually the penalty is declined.
2. Targeting - I like the fact that they are trying to protect players and make the game safer. But, if the offensive player puts his head down to initiate contact and causes the defensive player to hit him in the head, there shouldn't be a penalty. This is different from a receiver catching a pass and the defender launches into his head. Targeting really bugs me because I feel that at least half of all targeting is actually caused by the offensive player lowering his head. EDIT: This isn't about RSJ's hit last night. Not the same thing.
