SAN ANTONIO -- H-E-B said in a statement Wednesday that it anticipates Blue Bell Ice Cream back on their shelves sometime in mid-September.
The San Antonio-based grocery chain said it has been talking with Blue Bell on their distribution status.
H-E-B also said "we believe Houston will receive product first based on proximity to distribution." It also said the decision on which locations will get ice cream first will be completely determined by Blue Bell.
