Texas A&M, Colorado announce home-and-home series[/B]
COLLEGE STATION-Texas A&M will face Pac-12 Conference foe Colorado in a home-and-home football series in 2020 and 2021, the two schools announced on Wednesday.[/B]
The Buffaloes of Colorado will renew the series with Texas A&M with an appearance at Kyle Field on Sept. 19, 2020, and the Aggies will make the return trip to Colorado, on Sept. 11, 2021.
The two schools first meeting was a non-conference tilt in 1995 with ESPN's College GameDay in attendance in Boulder with Colorado as part of the Big Eight Conference and the Aggies as part of the Southwest Conference.
The following year (1996) marked the inaugural Big 12 Conference football game at Kyle Field and the all-time series favors the Buffaloes by a 6-3 margin.
The last time the two teams played at Kyle Field was 2008 with the Aggies winning, 24-17.
"We are excited to renew the series with Colorado -- a familiar opponent and road destination for our fans," Texas A&M Director of Athletics Eric Hyman said. "Texas A&M has played some great games against Colorado in the past, both in and out of conference play. We look forward to hosting a Pac-12 opponent at Kyle Field and then returning to scenic Colorado."
Texas A&M previously announced non-conference home-and-home football series with UCLA (2016 and 2017), Clemson (2018 and 2019) as well as with Notre Dame (2024 and 2025).
The Aggies open the 2015 football campaign at a neutral site game with Pac 12 foe Arizona State in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff. The game will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston on Saturday, Sept. 5.
