If you're tired of reading about the SCOTUS' recent ruling, then just exit stage left now. I have not engaged in the debates on social media on this subject and I will continue to refrain from such. I just want to post my friend's take on how the SCOTUS (5 judges in particular) did a complete 180 from how they ruled on a similar case as recent as two years ago...and how they changed their "interpretation" of the constitution and it's place on gay marriage since that 2013 ruling.

I wanted to post this piece that my best friend from high school wrote today. It's the first of a three part commentary. Jerry and I grew up together in the small town of Malakoff, TX. He's been a pastor as well as served twice as President of Criswell College in Dallas. Now he's President & CEO of NRB...National Religious Broadcasters Assoc. In this first part, he addresses how the five justices, that voted in favor of "Gay Marriage", did a 180 from a ruling from two years ago where they voted that gay marriage laws were state laws and not federal...and constitutional. Now, two years later, they reverse and say it's "unconstitutional"....he makes some valid points about how the SCOTUS is supposed to rule according to the constitution...not personal preference or policy. Keep in mind before reading, Dr. Johnson did not make this a "religious" protest but rather a legal one. Although he did point out in the first paragraph that it is a shame, both biblically and morally. He never mentions it from that angle again.
