Took my 7-yr-old grandson to the game to begin his indoctrination. Toured some of the campus buildings, and he was impressed.
Watched the Fish Drill Team drop 3 rifles during their various exchanges. Another fish started marching while the team was still stationary. I've never seen the Fish Drill Team make any mistake before today.
Then walked over to Kyle Field to watch the game. Went to the second deck with hundreds of other fans only to discover it was closed to everyone who didn't have a luxury box pass. Walked down to the first deck to standing room only. There appeared to be a few seats still available in the south endzone, but weren't sure we could get there before they were filled. Walked around for awhile and ended up leaving the stadium with thousands of other Aggies who couldn't find a seat. As fans were steaming out they were telling others who were coming in that the stadium was "full." I've never seen such a cluster before. Guess we should have arrived earlier.
Did manage to turn my grandson into an Aggie fan, so the day was not a total waste. Hope to see the game on a delayed SEC broadcast.
