TCU lost starting linebacker Sammy Douglas for the season after the Minnesota game and now it was just announced that the other starting linebacker Mike Freeze (who played very well in Minn game) has taken a leave of absence from the team for personal reasons.
TCU will now go with a redshirt freshmen who was a high school QB at LB and a true freshmen who was 4th on the depth chart.
In addition, Patterson announced today that starting DE and returning sacks leader James McFarland will be out 4-6 weeks after surgery next week for a toe he broke tripping over a sprinkler.
Also starting DE Mike Tuaua may be suspended due to an off campus incident.
