After an exhaustive investigation that took a whole week, Baylor completed its investigation last week and apparently has decided it needs another one.

I suppose this can be taken a couple of ways. One one had, they didn't come out and say all is good. Suggesting another investigation means someone found something that is cause for concern. Also, choosing to have an third party do the investigation is probably better than letting a Baylor professor handle it.
On the other hand, it will likely take some time for the new investigator to be selected, get up to speed, and start actually investigating. So, in a way they are just delaying things until after the season.
It is convenient that they waited until 7:00 on a Friday to release this.
