Tx Football Factory, how about a Spring Football report on the aggies?

An 'exchange of early fan info' instead of just another pizzing contest.
wink.r191677.gif

==========

Here, I'll start it off.....
lurk.r191677.gif

The new Gator Offense is focused on the Passing Game for now.

With the TE's and RB's very much involved in the passing game.
The Gator's running game remains solid.

The same Defense is re-focused on their fundamentals for now.

While the Special Teams remains a focal point in the Spring.

Kicker consistency is the biggest concern for right now, with

Punter and coverage being pretty solid early on.

Football Newbees already 'standing out' in Spring practices:

QB Will Grier 6-2 190 - very good already, improving every day.

He makes ALL the throws, he has the quickest release, and

he makes very few mistakes. Many think that he has passed

up Mornhinweg and is closing on Driskel. IMOHO, Driskel's

size (6-4 240) and experience rsJr, should keep him as the

starter, but it's months away, so we'll see. Grier is the likely
#2. With Mornhinweg 6-2 214 rsSo 1L and late arriving Fr
QB Treon Harris 6-0 200 battling for #3 through August and
on into early Sept.

RB Adam Lane rsFr 5-7 222 - toughest to tackle on the team.

They're already calling him the new Gator 'Bowling Ball'....As a
HS Jr, he was the FL state Silver Medalist in Weightlifting.
Arm tackles?
laugh.r191677.gif
Heck, he ran right through 2 defenders

that were attempting to stop/tackle him. A REAL LOAD!!!

DE Joey Ivie Soph 6-3 270 **** 1L

He is the toughest to block, (very quick) going inside or outside.

5 Star DE J.Bullard could move in to DT, with Ivie at the DE spot.

WR Chris Thompson rsFr- high speed deep threat with glue hands.

WR Demarcus Robinson Soph 1L is also very productive so far.

WR Quinton Dunbar Sr, and CB V.Hargreaves Soph have been

having a 'Battle Royale' so far, to the mutual benefit of both.

12 WR's, 5 RB's, and 4 TE's will all be pushing each other to

catch the ball and then make YAC plays. The ones who become

the starters should be very good indeed in Ropers spread offense.
============

So, what does the aTm team look like, and who's leading to
replace Johnny and the receivers? How-bout your defense?
nerd.r191677.gif

By now, you know the importance of DEFENSE in the SEC.

So, does aTm not do Spring football, or do the 12 sissies just not know
anything about it? (snicker)
embarassed.r191677.gif
???

~ In Duke's 52-48 loss to Texas A&M in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, Florida's newly

hired offensive coordinator Kurt Roper gained the approval of Gator fans as his

unit racked up 661 yards of total offense. Makes me wonder what he can do

with Gator 4-5 star talent, instead of Duke's 2-3 star talent level, while being

backed-up by UF's Top 10 in the Nation Defense???
02
(UF 20-17 @ aTm)

In Other Gator Sports News:

~ The Gators won 2 National Titles, set 7 UF School Records and ended

the NCAA Men's Swimming Championships in 3rd Place overall this time.

~ Florida combined great pitching with timely hitting and outstanding defense

to sweep a baseball doubleheader from #8 LSU. UF 18-9, 5-3 SEC, and have

won 12 of their last 15 games. The 15 freshmen seem to be coming together

as a team. Game 3 of the series is today (Sun) at 1 PM.

Re: Spring Football

Unlike 5-6 other SEC teams, UF did not lose their starting QB for 2014.

Instead, they have a rsJr starter with the #2 and #3 HS QB-DT's coming in.

The Gators will have the best starting QB, and the best depth in the SEC imoho.
I look for Driskel to really SHINE in the Roper spread offense. So far, he has had
to struggle with 3 OC's in 4 years, and none of the others had his style of offense.
He was recruited by, and came to UF for the Meyer Spread/Option offense. Now
he will finally be in HIS element and mostly taking snaps in the shot-gun. Yee-Haw!

#1 QB-DT Jeff Driskel rsJr 6-4 240 4.6/40 - Nike Elite 11 QB MVP

The Maxwell and Gatorade National PoY among his many other awards.

Career at UF: W/L The Gators were 12-3 in games he started.

Passing - 214 of 340, 63% for 2,271 yds, 10.6 yds/comp, 14 TD's, 10 Ints, long 75 yds.

Rushing - 151 for 469 yds, 6.9 ypc, 5 TD's, long 70 yds.

Holds UF QB Record for rushing yds in a game with 177 yds vs VU, (3 TD's).

His last full game before breaking his leg in 2013, P- 22 of 33 (67%) for 291 yds.

#2 QB-DT Will Grier Fr 6-2 190 4.7/40 - Parade Magazine HS PoY, #2 Elite 11 QB - EE

Senior HS Season: (2x N.C. Gatorade PoY)

P - 4,989 yds with a Nation's Best 77 TD's.

R - 1,251 yds with 13 TD's

Total HS Senior Season Offense - 6,240 yds with 90 TD's
05

Set National HS Single Game Passing Record: 837 yds with 10 TD's, (2012 N.C. Playoff)

NC NCISAA Division II 2013 State Championship: 32 of 42 (76.2%) for 599 yds, 7 TD's.

HS Career: P - 14,565 yds 195 TD's, R - 2,955 yds 31 TD's.

HS Career Total Offense - 17,520 yds with 226 TD's.
16

#3 QB-DT Treon Harris 6-0 200 4.6/40 - 2x FL 4-A State Champions.

This tFr will arrive from HS for the summer sessions and Fall practice.

* Muschamp beat out Miami while flipping him away from FSU on NSD.

The H-back Position is no more. In Roper's offense, the hybrid TE/FB spot is called

the "B" position. TE Clay Burton, TE T. Westbrook, FB G. Ajagbe, FB H. Joyer and

new Fr TE DeAndre Goolsby are the 5 players in the mix that are competing for the job.

Roper wants the position to be a key part of the Gators' spread attack.

The Passing Game: "We're hoping to contribute a whole bunch," WR Ahmad Fulwood

said. "It's a very big gap from what we did last year. We had three main receivers last

year. This year we got to have a lot more because it's a fast offense and we're always

running. You've got to have those guys to back you up, and how we feel about the 2nd

and 3rd guys, there's not a big drop off."

Roper's task this spring is to find the right pieces of the puzzle. That takes time. But

at least he likes the ones he has to work with. "We've got the talent,'' Roper said.

The guys that Roper says can 'really run' and spread the field deep:

WR Q (Dunbar) WR Thompson & WR Robinson, Slot WR's - Showers & Pittman.

However, having talented 'skill' players is only half of the job. The other half is

the OL. This year, the better depth will be facilitated by the versatility of the OL.

Somewhat like a SF's A-Team, they are cross training for other positions.

C Max Garcia Sr - (LG & LT)

RT Chaz Green rsSr - (LT)

RG Tyler Moore Jr - (RT)

LG Trenton Brown Sr (LT)

LT D.J. Humphries Jr

OG-C Trip Thurman Jr (likely an OG starter)

OG-OT Drew Sarvary Jr (juco)

OG Rod Johnson rsFr (OT)

LT Kavaris Harkless Fr (OG)

C-OG Cameron Dillard rsFr

Top 3 Tackles - Humphries - Green - Brown

Top 3 Guards - Moore - Thruman - Sarvary

Top 3 Centers - Garcia - Dillard - Thurman

The OL's biggest problem in the Spring, besides learning Ropers new offense,

is the Gators MONSTER Defense.

DT - Leon Orr - Darious Cummings - Caleb Brantley - Jay-nard Bostwick and

Antonio Riles. With Jon Bullard and Joey Ivie getting reps at both DT & DE.

DE's - Bryan Cox Jr, Joey Ivie, Alex McCalister, and Taven Bryan Fr.

BUCK - Fowler (OLB/DE), and my guess is T.Bryan 6-5 260, eventually.

Punting - Kyle Christy and Johnny Townsend, "both have Sunday legs" - Muschamp.

Kicker - Still a big ??? Austin Hardin has all the skill needed, and is now working on

consistently hitting the ball the same way on every kick. Still a work in progress...
ohwell.r191677.gif

When Sr MLB Michael Taylor was asked who has been impressive so far:

WR D.Robinson is a 'FREAK.' RB M.Brown, RB KT (Taylor), and WR Q.Dunbar.

Those 4 guys are going to be making a lot of BIG plays come Sept.... (among others)

Apparently he forgot about rsFr newbee RB Adam Lane 5-7 222, but shortly, nobody
else will. Some have started calling him the 'Wrecking Ball' instead of the 'Bowling Ball....'

I'm predicting somewhere in the 150-250 team yds/gm in average rushing with 2-3 TD's.

---------------

IF I had to name a starting offense for the 2014 Gators today (depending on play call)?

Starters: LT Hump, LG Moore, C Garcia - RG Thurman - RT Green

'B' Position (TE/FB) Hunter Joyer, DeAndre Goolsby

RB Kelvin Taylor - Adam Lane (Matt Jones ? still rehabing)

WR Dunbar, Robinson, Thompson, Debose, Slot - Showers

K/P Returner - WR Andre Debose (Debose is in a no-contact jersey) and a Fr???
August practice will sort out the many newbee kick returners.

#1 Wild Card: QB-DT Treon Harris Fr (won't arrive until summer session). Harris

ran an offense similar to Roper's at Miami Booker T. Washington, where he won

consecutive Class 4A state championships in his final two seasons of high school.

Spring is fun, but Aug. is likely to become very interesting as that 1st game approaches.

Now come on aggie fans, what's doing with your Spring football?

Re: Spring Football, guess I can ask a shorthorn about aTm

Spring football, since the aggies disappear in the off-season. What's up,

guess I'll just take up some of the slack here.

Updates from the Gator's Sat. (rained out early) and Monday scrimmages:

Just as I had predicted, Jeff Driskel is the SOLID #1 QB, while true Fr QB
Will Grier opened UF's first scrimmage last Sat as the #2 QB. So far, both
are liking, and lighting it up, in OC Roper's spread offense. They only had
one bad pass each during the entire scrimmage.

QB Skyler Mornhinweg rsSo received less reps than he has in previous
practices, though he did lead one scoring drive. But with the style of Roper's
system favoring dual-threat QB's, Mornhinweg's role will likely be minimal
moving forward. He's thrown some good passes this spring and appears to
have improved, but his skill set simply doesn't fit well with this offense. For
those same reasons, summer incoming dual-threat QB Treon Harris will also
pass him up imo. (clipboard or xfer?) Skyler is a good kid, a good student,
and a good citizen, but he will either stay for his degree and maybe work on
becoming a coach like his father, or he'll transfer down to play elsewhere.

"In this offense, it's a little different for the RB/FB in how they are getting the
ball. We still run the counter, we still run the power, we still run the inside
zone, we still run the stretch, but their angles to the line of scrimmage are a
little different,'' Muschamp said. " I think they have all adjusted very well."
(so far,,, so good)
"This offense is 'much faster' in all areas than last years was." - The Gator D

Spring's shining FNG's:
DT Darious Cummings, DE Taven Bryan, S Nick Washington, CB Duke Dawson.
QB Will Grier, WR Demarcus Robinson, RB Adam Lane, TE DeAndre Goolsby.

In the D's non-participation pit were: LB'ers Alex Anzalone (shoulder), Neiron Ball
(knee), Jeremi Powell (knee), Matt Rolin (knee) and FS Keanu Neal (hammy).

(guess I'll have to go to ESPN to find out about how and what the aggies
are doing this spring, ignorance is a sad thing, but as Texan Ron White says:
"STU-PID is Fo-eva"....)
tongue.r191677.gif

Re: Gator Spring Football Update...

The Orange & Blue Spring football game is this coming weekend.
There's always something good to look forward to,,, IF you're not just
more ugly gatorbait....
(Direct TV - Sunshine Network 653 at 1:30 PM)

Muschamp: "We're going to have a good team next year." (I concur - iG)

With the new coaches and system, positions and starters won't be
determined until the new arrivals in Summer-B and the Aug practices.
The 'depth' on both lines are the areas that remain the most unsettled.
The talent is, or soon will be there. It's just their order that remains in
question. In the Gator's locker room, a new group of leaders has
emerged with eyes on a quick return to college football prominence.

In last Saturday's scrimmage: On offense, Muschamp said the Gators
produced 10 explosive plays ? 5 in the running game, 5 in the passing
game, and averaged more than 5 yards per rushing attempt. Remembering
that it was accomplished against the Gators Top 10 in the Nation Defense....

However, this is still 'just the spring' and many positions on both offense and
the defense are still open to be won before the Aug 30th first game arrives.
Three deep threat receivers have exploded on the scene, rsFr Chris Thompson
with his 4.37/40 speed, along with 'freakey' Demarcus Robinson Soph and
Quinton Dunbar Sr. - Joker Phillips has re-established the receivers corp.

The players have embraced the opportunity to look ahead instead of backward.
(which is what I choose to do also - iG -- but if I do look back occasionally,
what I see is - only 1 losing season, -- in the last 34 years, so not a big deal)
smokin.r191677.gif

============

Will the Aggies be fielding a team this season, or is Johnny $ignature taking
it with him when he gets out of town, without a college degree?
wink.r191677.gif

FYI
Danny Wuerffel, both the Heisman and the Draddy, 4 SEC-C, 1 mNC.
Tim Tebow, both the Heisman and the Campbell (Draddy), 2 SEC-C, 2 BCS-NC's.
* The Draddy Trophy, now re-named the Campbell, is the Academic Heisman.
Those 2 Gator QB's are the only players in NCAA History to be awarded both
the Heisman, and the so-called 'Academic Heisman, (Draddy/Campbell).'
That goes with UF being a 'Student/Athlete' Univ., not a 'Football Factory.'

And cat-rammer, notice the view/reads totals on the threads that I either start
or post to, vs the 'response dead zones' that you usually create.
tongue.r191677.gif

Re: I went to the 'Official' Aggies Phootball site...

And now I'm starting to see why NOBODY here wants to talk about Ag phootball...

Aggie Football closed out spring ball quietly on Saturday.
There was no Maroon and White Game.

The defense returns a slew of players that saw significant action a year ago,
(yeah, but they sucked). They gave up 419 pts, 32.2 pts/gm. To show you
just how bad that really was, even with all of UF's many injuries, they only gave
up 253 pts, 21.1 pts/gm against a way tougher SoS that included the BCS-NC.

Offensively, the quarterback question will linger for a while. Sumlin won't name
a starter until August.

Offseason workouts will play into the competition at every position. Sumlin
has no interest in creating a solid depth chart at this point.

"We'll give you a depth chart…it probably won't be accurate," he says with a
smile. "We've got plenty of time. Our players have plenty of time to keep
developing and keep competing."

* But hey, if you guys want to see some SEC Spring football, you can always
tune in to the Gator Orange & Blue game this Saturday at 1:30 PM
3dgrin.r191677.gif

Re: I went to the 'Official' Aggies Phootball site...

The Gator's Spring Game in a Nutshell:

The offensive totals were a combined 111 plays, 46 pts, 606 yds,
with only 1 (mis-communication Fr Int) turnover, and 2 minor penalties.
That's with only 15 Spring practices in OC Ropers new spread offense.
(Of course the D was scaled back to give the new offense room to improve.)

Kicker Hardin went 4 for 4 - 42, 43, 25, 34. - Consistency Corrected!

FS - K.Neal 6-1 206 So **** 1L (named the 'freakazoid' by the coaches)
SS - M.Harris 6-2 215 rsFr **** (arrived rehabbing an MCL in 2013, 100% now)
Both Neal & Harris are solid tacklers and both will bring the lumber...
chairshot.r191677.gif

With some decent young improving depth right behind them.
The competition is so strong that only Hargreaves is already a sure-thing starter.
=================

On the other side of the ball, you have the 'Wrecking-Ball' at RB
A.Lane 5-7 222 rsFr **** SQ (he also had 3 receptions on Sat)
"Adam Lane is a physical runner," LB J.Davis 6-2 226 So **** 1L.
"He's a smaller, shorter guy with a low center of gravity. "You have
to really wrap him up and put everything that you have into him. If
you don't, you're just going to bounce off and not make the tackle.
He'll run through it." He is also very effective picking up the blitz.

A lighter/quicker Driskel for 2014, down from 240+ pounds.
QB J.Driskel 6-4 234 rsJr ***** (looks 100% after 2013 broken leg)
19 of 33 (58%) for 171 yds, 9 yds/comp, with a 31 yd TD, 0 Ints.

Another who dropped weight and now moves much quicker is:
LG/LT - Trenton Brown 6-8 340 Sr **** 1L (down from 361).
He's a defensive nightmare as a pulling guard for the Gator RB's.

The 2014 SECe is a battle between UF, SCa, UGA, & maybe Tenn.
But only 1 of those 4 has a returning rsJr at QB.
And only 1 has a #1 rated 5 star that was an Elite 11 QB MVP.
Few are talking much about Driskel right now, and it's mostly doubters,
but that will all change by the first week in Oct. I'm betting...

I was curious myself, and since nobody here seems to either know or care,

I looked it up for myself. And aTm was actually #2 in the SEC and #5 in
the Nation for the Director's Cup. So congrats on that, even though the

Uggie fans (or at least the ones reading/posting here) don't seem to

know or care. It's the football off season, so how about someone here

posting the 'State of the Onion' on the other Uggie teams. I'll do mine,

but I ain't doing yours for ya.

At #2, the Gators finished in the Top 4 for the 5th consecutive year (June 2013),
in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup rankings. Next Campbell is June of 2014.

Florida is the only program in the Nation to finish in the Top 10 in each

of the last 30 National All Sports standings. The Gators won National

Championships this year in W-Gymnastics and M-Outdoor Track and Field.

Stanford has been #1 for 19 straight years. They have a distinct
advantage over UF/SEC due to the scoring structure of the Cup.
Stanford fields teams in 36 sports. That is far more than the vast
majority of college athletic departments.
UF fields teams in 21 sports and only 8 men's teams.

Points are scored for 10 men's and 10 women's sports.
UF - so 18 qualify out of 21 teams.
Stanford can use their best 20 out of 36 teams.

Stanford can have a dozen+ teams do poorly without it hurting them in the
points standings (they just don't count those teams). UF doesn't have that
luxury. (I assume that aTm has a similiar problem)

The fact that UF came so close to beating Stanford is pretty amazing. A
school gets the same amount of points for a B-Ball championship which has
347 schools competing, and a women's water polo championship which only
has 32 and there are some even smaller sports that still get the exact same
amount of points as a big sport like football does.

* In the Big 3 - UF went to a Jan. Bowl, the Elite Eight, and a Baseball Regional.

(they will still have 2 of those 3 for June 2013 to June 14)

It's also not just about sports for a school that's truly about Student/athletes.

UF is the only SEC school to place 100 or more student-athletes on the SEC

Academic Honor Roll in each of the last 15 years. In 2011-12, 168 UF
student-athletes earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. UF's last 2
Heisman winners have also won the so-called Academic Heisman, the Draddy
Award, now the re-named Campbell Trophy. No other school in NCAA history
has ever had an athlete that won both.
~ Vandy is a great Academic Institution, but Florida still leads the SEC in top
quality Student/Athletes.

A&M a "football factory"? Really?

A&M has been in the SEC two seasons and has managed to finish no higher than 3rd in the SEC West in that time. LSU has beaten them twice including a blowout win (34-10) in Baton Rouge this past season.

By the way, it appears that you are far too confident in UF's chances this next season. The UF offense is a disaster. The UF defense is going to be OK but vs. LSU the Gators are going to have their hands full just trying to slow down Leonard Fornette, Magee, Hilliard, and Williams. Good luck with that.

Re: Answer our points in full, with my reasons....

First of all, 'Football Factory' doesn't mean that you win a championship
every year. It means that the 'primary focus' of your Athletic Dept. is on
football, with little to no interest in the rest of your school's sports.

LSU in the west, and SCa in the east, are what I see as UF's toughest 'SEC'

every day in practice. And will your own defense see another QB that
is 6-4 240 and has gone for 178 yds with 3 TD's rushing in one game?

Sorry 62, but you're not playing the team that lost an NCAA Record 72 starts

OC Roper, with Duke 2-3 stars, put 600+ yards and 48 pts on aTm in

By the way, it appears that you are far too confident in UF's chances this next season. The UF offense is a disaster. The UF defense is going to be OK but vs. LSU the Gators are going to have their hands full just trying to slow down Leonard Fornette, Magee, Hilliard, and Williams. Good luck with that.
Now you are official, Instagator here trolling you. A RSF back, how good could he be? UF had a terrible offense last year and he wasn't good enough not to redshirt? If he is any good at all he will only play 2 years at UF now. A true frosh qb, who put up record numbers playing against rich kids in a small private school league, he most likely won't see very many of those kids lined up across from him next fall, when he has to play without his non-contact jersey it will be interesting, while Driskle is horrible if the true frosh starts Muschamp is gone. UF is as likely to win 4 games again as they are 7. Kentucky game is huge for UF, lose that one and its a 4 win season again.

Your broken writing is difficult to decipher, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

Why did Fr RB Adam Lane 5-7 222 redshirt in 2013?

33 RB Mack Brown 5-11 215 rsSr **** 3L UA-AA Career 3.8 ypc
10 WR/RB Valdez Showers 5-11 190 rsJr 2L Career 8.6 ypc, Mich Gatorade PoY

24 RB/FB Matt Jones 6-2 226 Jr **** 2L ESPN Top 150 Career 4.7 ypc (ACL)
37 RB/ST's Mark Herndon 5-9 198 Jr *** 2L FL Dist-7 MVP & PoY Career 8.0 ypc
21 RB Kelvin Taylor 5-10 214 So ***** 1L - #1 RB, Fr All SEC, Career 4.6

Kelvin is future NFL HoF and former Gator mNC RB Fred Taylor's son.

He broke Emmitt Smith's Fla. HS career rushing yds record, as a HS Jr.

"He's not quite as fast as me, but he has better moves." -- Fred

Showers was moved to WR this spring to help make room for Lane.

And former starting RB Jones (2013 ACL) may be moved to the new 'B' position

also. The Gator D all agree, Lane is the most difficult to tackle on the entire team.

--------------

UF's last QB that was also a 2x N.C. Gatorade PoY went 3-1 vs UGly and won

a BCS-NC. BTW, that QB is now a coach for UF, (Chris Leak).

Are you too stupid to understand what the Nike 'Opening' Elite 11 camp is, and

who goes there besides the QB's? Grier was the #2 Elite 11 QB against the best

in the country on the other side of the ball. That said, he'll likely be the #2 behind

Driskel for 1-2 years before he has to compete with the #3 dual-threat QB Treon

Harris for the starting job at UF. However, IF Driskel is injured in 2014, we won't

have to play a scout team QB in his place this time, (because the #2, Brissett,

transferred to NCSt for a chance to play).

Name the last RB that was a starter at UF, that didn't go on to the NFL?

(hint, it was way back before E.Smith's time)

RB at Florida is a constant conveyor belt to the NFL, so what?

One leaves, another arrives, repeat as necessary....

Lastly, if you were playing last year's Gator team you'd have a chance, as it is,

not so much. (typical leg-humper, I got your troll swingin') chomp

Re: Mutts and kitties always yap & yowl,,,

,,, but will rarely put up the actual stats or facts to judge by.

RB Adam Lane 5-7 222 rsFr - Silver Medal Weight-lifting - The Wrecking Ball
My own reaction after watching him practice and play was, to quote Cheech:
"Lower to the ground, twice pipes, candy-apple red, button-tuck, Oooo-clean!"
It feels a bit like Christmas is coming early for Gator fans this year....
wink.r191677.gif

I saw some recent Muschamp quotes on Lane and thought to pass them along.

"Adam's a guy that I thought really progressed well during spring, fits very well in
what we're doing, but a guy that works extremely hard,"
Muschamp said of the
tailback. "I thought he had a good offseason, but really worked his way in shape
to where he's got the endurance to be able to handle and carry the ball, physically
he's an imposing player. I'm excited about him, I really am."

Sooo, how stiff is the RB competition at UF for 2014?
"He's got top-end speed, he can really help us and that's what I told all the RB's at
the end of spring," he said.
"There's only one ball, so y'all need to figure it out."

- Lane was given the most carries in the Spring game, 12 for 64 yds, 5.3 ypc.
His only problem is that he's joining 4 lettermen RB's and 2 lettermen FB's.
Experience, Size - Ht/Wt, Rankings, and Career YPC --- Compare and Consider.

33 RB Mack Brown 5-11 215 rsSr **** 3L UA-AA Career 3.8 ypc
24 RB/FB Matt Jones 6-2 226 Jr **** 2L ESPN Top 150 Career 4.7 ypc
37 RB/ST's Mark Herndon 5-9 198 Jr *** 2L FL Dist-7 MVP & PoY Career 8.0 ypc
21 RB Kelvin Taylor 5-10 214 So ***** 1L - #1 RB, Fr All SEC, Career 4.6
25 FB/LB Gideon Ajagbe 6-2 244 rsSr 2L
41 FB Hunter Joyer 5-11 240 Sr 3L (#1 FB out of HS)
--------- FNG's
22 RB Adam Lane 5-7 222 rsFr SQ **** ESPN Top 300 - 'The Wrecking Ball'
20 RB/KR Brandon Powell 5-9 175 Fr EE **** - Fla 8A 1st Team, 9.5 ypc - blazing fast
31 RB Darius Masline 5-8 172 rsSo SQ - Academic/Football/Basketball/Track - WO
Plus 2 incoming Ath/SAK's, with their positions yet to be determined.

The Spring offensive totals were a combined 111 plays, 46 pts, 606 yds, with only
one (mis-communication Fr Int) turnover, and 2 minor penalties. That's with only 15
Spring practices in OC Ropers new spread offense. And they only had 12 minute
quarters with a running clock
. That's how fast the new offense is going to be.

Gator's Wins Record for 2014? 7-9-11??? It's anyone's W-a-G at this early point.

UA-Tenn-LSU-Mizz-UGa-VU-SCa-FSU, half (4) of those 8 teams have combined for
8 BCS-NC's already, and are legitimate playoff teams for 2014. All but New & Improved
5-7 Tenn went to bowl games in 2013.
> Show me ANY other team in the freakin' NCAA that plays that kind of schedule.

My own W-a-G for the Gators is a Bowl game for sure, with an outside shot at going
to Hotlanta as the SECe-C.
