If anyone wants to make scrimmage observations, here is a breakdown of the plays to help with the video that was released. Chime in with corrections, analysis and comments if you are interested.
Play 1: Shows starting offensive line (Ifedi, Cheek, Mathews, Sutherland, Gennesy) going against defense. Kirk playing receiver goes inside to block. Hall gets under Ifedi and drives him back. Cheek stays with block and gets defender to the ground. This play is strange. Both White and Carson are on the field, but neither has the ball, yet it looks like a run play. Maybe someone can explain what the play is.
Play 2: Mathews and Sutherland with a good double team block open a hole for White on zone read by Allen who gives him the ball, but Hall comes flying over from DE and makes a good tackle.
Play3: Kyler Murray runs zone read, hands off to Dolezal who gets swallowed by Daylon Mack. Oline is Gustafson, Sutherland, McCoy, Lindblade, and Eluemunor. Josh Walker, Alonzo Williams and Hall are seen on defense.
Play4: Another zone read handoff by Murray to Dolezal who breaks it this time and finally gets tackled by Burns and Dunning in the secondary. Oline looks the same as play3 except that Koda Martin is seen. Mack and Cunningham are seen on defense.
Play5: Murray on a scramble to his right, gets downfield for a five to ten yard gain before going out of bounds. Kirk and Seals-Jones are blocking for him on the perimeter. Oline appears to be starters (Play1). Murray holding the ball in one hand away from his body as he is running downfield which he has a habit of doing.
Play6: Ifedi walls off Cunningham and Murray gives to Carson up the gut who goes wide to his left being pursued by Watts, is brought down by Brandon Williams and there appears to be a fumble on the tackle. A lot of ones on both sides of the ball.
Play7: Allen back to pass, Elbert, Martin and McCoy seen blocking, completes a pass to Niederhofer? on a stick route, with Ellis and Dunning in coverage along with Landis Durham, who makes the tackle.
Play8: Dolezal breaks it big with OL including McCoy, Martin, Eluemunor, Elbert and DL including Keke, Lockhart and Chevis. Durham playing LB. Burns tries a diving tackle and misses. Allen was the QB on this play.
Play9: Ratley is covered by Capers Smith, as Allen rolls right to their side of the field. Brandon Alexander is playing TE. Conner Lanfear is playing along with McCoy and Martin on the OL. Allen throws to Tabuyo in the end zone, but Justin Dunning jumps up and grabs it well before it gets there for the interception. Keke, Durham and Burns are seen on defense.
Play 10: Not sure what is going on with this play, but it appears to be a jet sweep by Jamal Jeffrey on a flip from Hubenak. OL includes Tank Davis, Elbert and Dwaraczyk. Iheanacho playing WR. Defense includes Henderson, Tanner Schorp, Riley Garner, and Roney Elam. Sam Moeller makes the tackle for a short gain.
Play 11: Hubenak in the pocket throws to Jeffrey, who is covered by Dwaine Thomas at LB. He misses the tackle, but LBs Jake Blount and Riley Garner (I think) clean it up and get him down. Mostly same players as Play 10.
Play 12: Allen with a hand off to White who is smothered by the defense. Not much to be seen here, Donovan Wilson is on defense.
Play13: Looks like first team OL, White is the RB. Hall is DE. Allen drops back to pass and throws over the middle complete to Seals-Jones who is taken down by Shawn Washington and Josh Walker.
Play14: Kyler Murray with first team offense, hands off to Carson who is absolutely stuffed by defense including Deshawn Washington, Alonzo Williams, Justin Evans, Jarrett Johnson and Hall.
Play15: First team O, Allen throws a WR bubble screen to Kirk. Harris defeats block and nails him.
Play16: First team oline, Allen completes to Niederhofer on an inside route who is taken down by Evans after a nice gain.
Play17: Seals-Jones makes a ridiculous one handed catch for a TD covered by Donovan Wilson.
Play18: Murray hands off to walk on RB Kwame Etwi (a very nice addition), who goes around the right end and makes a very nice run getting 15+ yards. Oline includes Tank Davis, Erik McCoy and Conner Lanfear. Defense includes Deshawn Washington, Landis Durham, Claude George and Jarrett Johnson.
Play19: Murray hands off to Etwi again, but James Lockhart is there to stuff him.
