Had a nephew tonight who wanted to join me and his father (my BIL) and his older brother drinking some nice bourbon. We had a bottle of $140 stuff out. I had to put the KAIBASH on him pouring a couple of shots over a Coke.
Had to have the Uncle to Nephew talk with the boy. Said, look Hayden, this isn't your average bottle of Seagram's 7 or basic Jack Daniels. Those are just fine if you'd like to pour over a Coke (even though I still have a personal problem with that). This bottle cost us $140. It's some good shit. REALLY good shit. If you want some you are more than welcome to it and as much as you want, but you ARE going to have it either neat or on a couple of rocks and no other way.
His Dad just looked at me and smiled and shook his head, like, crap, I thought I'd taught my 8 yr. old better than that.
