from his wife on Facebook
"Surgery went very well. Doctor was able to do everything robotically. Home by the end of the week. Soft, easy digestible diet for two weeks. Start chemotherapy in 4 weeks."
More update from Marco's close friend
"Large colon tumor removed, large polyp, lymph nodes, and appendix removed (all via robotic procedure). About 9" of colon had to be removed but reattachment was succesful (so no colostomy bag, which was a fear). Few more days in the hospital, about a month to get strength back, and then chemotherapy to take care of the rest."
It sounds like today could not have gone better!
