I have a pentair pump with a plastic lid on top of the strainer basket. It has arrows showing which way to turn it to open/close if you want to clean out the strainer basket, but this thing is impossible to turn. Just spent 10 minutes hitting the damn thing with a hammer trying to open it and it won't budge. Am I missing something? Hit it until it breaks the plastic in half? Because that's my best option right now.
