I'm sure we scheduled this ASU game several years back, but I wonder if we would have scheduled them knowing they'd be consider a playoff contender?
Obviously it's a great opportunity and a win would be huge for the team and our ranking, but given our young QB and linebackers, converted RB at CB, and supposedly refined offense, a tune up game against a decent Power 5 team would have been nice. Also, I don't think strength of schedule will ever be a problem in the SEC West.
I do think we win the game 35-24, but a loss game 1 would be tough to take knowing the road ahead.
