Baylor hiring a Philadelphia law firm to conduct its investigation appears to provide some independence in its external investigation. Whoa Nellie. Lets explore this a little deeper. While the DMN mentions that Pepper Hamilton acquired former FBI Director Louie Freeh's investigative firm, it failed to disclose that Louie (as he likes to be called) is the Chairman of the Board of the law firm. This is relevant because Louie was the FBI Director at the time of the Ken Starr independent counsel investigation of President Clinton. Louie was very involved in that case and wanted to investigate Clinton further than the IC investigation. So, Louie and Starr have a past close relationship. I wouldn't count on anyone ever disclosing Starr's involvement in this tragedy.
