2024 has not been the easiest on the ol' fam. My dad went missing and is dealing with dementia, my father-in-law has been diagnosed with lung cancer and emphysema and we got house damage in the hurricane.
Only some of you know that my wife spent the better part of July in the hospital and a rehab facility due to spinal compression and a broken hip. But the pain has become so unbearable that she may have to go back in tomorrow. The medical bills have totally swamped us, I'm behind on the mortgage and I'm just at wits end. It won't affect coverage on here, I just needed to get that off my chest before I crack.
Thursday night update: we’re at the ER, so we couldn’t avoid that. We’ll see where it goes from here.
