I'm a co-owner of a young company that developed a product to mitigate entrapment risk in pools by diffusing vacuum inside sumps. A secondary effect noticed was that it also enhances fluid flow throughout the hydraulic system - moves more fluid using less energy so chemicals mix better, pools stay cleaner and overall have a better hydraulic balance.
The owner of AquaPro pumps recently completed a deal for Home Depot to carry his pumps and has decided to include our product with his system given the liability protection it affords (plus it helps his pump performance).
The CPSC is currently reviewing it as an additional method of satisfying VGB requirements.
