SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey
First thing he says is he wants to have "a conversation about the great sport of college football."
All SEC teams will have a prostate cancer awareness game in September in Mike Slive's honor.
Says the times are changing "rapidly and all around us."
Says he is "particularly proud" of the SEC schools in South Carolina and Mississippi for pushing for the removal of the Confederate battle flag.
Wants to promote a "college-going process" in high schools, so athletes are ready for college courses when they arrive.
"I assure, you we haven't given up" on winning every title, including in football.
Will look for compliance problems "and seek to deal with them with integrity."
The SEC's #1 goal, he says, is to never have a game, wins, or championships vacated due to rules violations, and to never have a team banned from postseason.
The SEC will develop working groups on conduct standards for student-athletes and for compliance and enforcement.
Winds up and takes a slap at Dave Patterson and Larry Scott, saying the SEC isn't all that interested in playing games in Mexico, London or China.
Auburn Coach Gus Malzahn
"We do have a lot of experience coming back (on offense), if if they didn't start. I really believe we have a chance to improve each game."
Calls Muschamp the best defensive mind in all of football. Calls the front 7 the strength of the team. Says the secondary will be thin.
"Overall, I really like this team. I especially like this staff."
Says he started recruiting Jeremy Johnson in 9th grade, and that he got a lot of 1st team snaps in past years in practice. Says the way he responded to not starting (Nick Marshall) was really very special.
Says they'll be able to run their full offense with Jeremy Johnson.
"He gives the team confidence. He gives his players confidence. We think the future's very bright." (On Muschamp)
On tempo: "People that used to be griping about that are now using some of it."
On A&M: "Very athletic...they're very talented and you're going to have to play well to beat them."
Said the win against A&M at Kyle taught them they could beat anyone. Was rather pissy about A&M returning the favor last year.
