I can save this for mail bag if you'd like but just a random question just popped into my mind regarding off season reporting.

-have you ever had a coach try to "guide" media to perhaps over embelish certain aspects of the practices and low play others for the purpose of steering the opponents focus in the wrong direction?

For (completely fictional) example: "hey guys I know Gabe Dindy is back and looks like a freeking monster out there but let's low play that and just mention that he progressing well and is starting to get some reps", "also let's back off of talking about Moose and hype up Tease as an upcoming play maker".

I'm not at all saying that this is happening it was just a random though and if I were a coach I would probably do that, especially if game 1 was a big game against a top 10 team.

Or it's a rediculous idea and I'm a flucking idiot for having thought it. 🤣🤣
