1. It is starting to look like BK's band of misfits was this Kentucky teams closest brush with defeat on their run to perfection. That's pretty funny.
2. Their run is impressive, but their deck is so heavily stacked that I can't bring myself to respect it in the realm of "all time teams/seasons". What do they have? 2 of the top 5 players in NCAA? 5 of the top 10? 9 of the top 25? And this isn't coached up talent, this is the ranked talent that showed up the first day of practice. Imagine Fab5 x 2. Just ridiculous.
3. Give credit to Calapari's assembling of the talent. Give him credit for managing egos. Stop there with his greatness though. Once the talent is there ready to play, there is 20+ NCAA coaches that take this team to an undefeated season. Yes, he's one of them. I laugh at rumors I've heard of him going to the league. With equal or lesser talent than his comp, he'd have as much success as Saban in the NFL.
