Just playing around...

Top Tacklers For Us So Far:
  1. Watts, 32 tackles (20 solo! That's almost twice as many as any other defensive player!)
  2. Washington, 24 (5 solo tackles)
  3. Donovan Wilson, 23 (13 solo)
  4. Justin Evans, 21 (10 solo)
  5. Hall, 19 (6 solo)
  6. MG 18 (10 solo)
  7. Hilliard 18 (5 solo)
  8. Daylon Mack 14 (6 solo)
3 of the 4 top tacklers are DB's... but we're also ranked #39 in passing defense. (Miss State is #26!)

Last year, for the season, top tacklers:
  1. DB Matthews
  2. DB Everett
  3. LB (Bass!)
  4. LB Washington
  5. DB Watts (beast!)
In rushing defense:
  • Mss ST is #81
  • aTm is #82
Sacks:
  • aTm #2
  • M. State #11
In Rushing Offense:
  • aTm #59
  • M. State #99
Passing Offense:
  • M. State #24
  • aTm #32
Total Offense:
  • aTm 32
  • M. State 42
Mississippi State rushed for only 43 yards versus LSU
They passed for 335 against them
Score was only LSU 21 and State 19 with LSU scoring 14 in the first quarter.

Random Thought: I believe Allen should force more throws (especially to Josh Reynolds). He is #17 in Yards Per Catch but he simply goes and catches it. Speedy (if he plays) is another one who snatches the ball out of the air, but RSK and Kirk are excellent as well. I think we should force more throws and try and thread it in there more. M. State is #26 in passing defense (so they pretty good so far).

Instead of ducking and running, force some throws, IMO.

:::

I think this looks like a good, close game... but M. State being only 99 in rushing offense, we should get sacks and if our secondary holds up, we could be quite disruptive on Defense. Need some picks!
