I keep hearing how he's one of the top coaches in the league, but outside of the one Championship year in Dallas, he's been pretty average. Here has was he has done in Dallas:

2013 -- Missed Playoffs
2012 -- Lost First Round (4 games)
2011 -- Champion
2010 -- Lost First Round (6 games)
2009 -- Lost Semis
It seems to me like he's still getting a lot of credit for the 2011 Championship. Other than that 2011 year, though, his teams have been pretty average. This year, he got out coached by Kevin McHale. I think it's time to start reassessing his status as one of the top coaches. He's not a terrible coach, but I don't think he's one of the top two or three guys out there like people have been saying.
