Some BattEx said on the thread about the Gavin Kash getting a masters got me thinking. At what point do we dispense with the eligibility limitations on student athletes? The amateurism argument is out the window with NIL. I guess you might want to avoid a scenario where 18 year old kids have to play against 28 year old doctoral students. But if you have a student that wants to keep playing college ball (and is likely making more in NIL that he might in the Minor league) and you have a school that wants to keep paying, where do you draw the line?
Is it time to revisit eligibility limits?
