21 pts (AL defense)
20 pts (AL offense)
16 pts (A&M offense; 7pts set up by STs)
7 pts (A&M ST)

The defense adjusted very well after the 1Q and held Bama to 6 pts for the next 3Qs

Special teams directly scored 7 pts
-created the fumble on the punt return and set us up for another TD.
-blocked punt that set us up on the Bama 29 and the offense lost yardage - result --> no points
-made two 50+ yd FGs & missed two 50+ yd FGs

The offense had a very bad day and it started with QB play and no running game (perhaps some correlation). Spav gets a lot of credit, via player execution and play calling.

My observation is that the defense made adjustments and looks like they can do their share to help this team win some games. I am not seeing a good trend for the offense. We supposedly have way too much talent on offense not to perform better.

Getting a big time defensive coordinator looks to be yielding a defense that is respectable. I can't say the same for the offense.

In 2012, Bama had three turnovers and we did not have any. We set the tone with an early interception and ended the game on an interception that prevented a Bama TD. Yesterday, we did not protect the ball.

Bama makes a lot of offenses look bad; and when they won the turnover battle 4 to 2 yesterday (with three P6s), we were fortunate to lose by only 18pts.
