I think what caused the chain reaction was absolutely zero time to do anything. One of them was so bad that it was like not having anyone there. It might have been Cheek. Would need to go back and look.
This destroys our run game (why we keep taking Carson outside), limits the QB's ability to go through receivers, and allows a team with strong DL to make up for their weaker, inexperienced corners (like Alabama) because they'll only have to cover their guy for 3-5 seconds.
While I still think Kyle was terrible, it wasn't totally on him. He probably should have thrown it away a few times. He was trying to make things happen and force it. And what we're seeing right now is that he isn't Johnny.
By the way....A Spavital offense must have a good OL. He can't function without one. Yeah, I know... who doesn't need a good OL? Well, some may be able to make up for it. He can't.
