Watching the spring game and thinking about Petrino's past offenses got me thinking. What will our offense be more like, his offenses at Arkansas or Louisville? I think it will be a combination of both and I think that's what's going to what's going to make it crazy effective. Not only will he use RPO but he will play action deep after pounding the ball on the ground for a few plays. He will spread the field and run it inside. Straight power, counters, sweeps, traps, misdirection, hitches, curls, crosses, posts, ins, corners and go routes...I think we'll see it all.
So yeah, the West Coast concepts will be there to take advantage of our receivers' talents. I think the RPO has also gotta be in there just because of QBs' abilities and how the game has changed. But make no mistake, Petrino still has roots in the power game and scoring. He will have plenty of calls to run over folks and get the ball over the top, whether from a 4 wide look or 2 or 3 TE I formations, he will take his deep shots on you....
