Putin issued a decree recognizing two areas of Ukraine as independent territories. Looks like they will be invading. Seems like he waited for the Olympics in ally China to end, and now he is down to business.

Putin had ballistic missile tests conducted last week just to say, don't **** with me or we can really do this. He is taking two areas of Ukraine.

But wait. Kamala is here

Some of the available sanctions Biden can impose are draconian and will shut them out from the rest of the world. We could take away their ability to move money, pay bills, order goods and services, freeze the accounts of a lot of Russian billionaires. If that happens Putin may find himself missing his head.

Those types of measures are only used against really dangerous people, like truckers in Canada.

Seems like our intel was spot on about his intentions and how he’d frame it.

Trump would've got off the phone with Putin saying that "Mr. Putin has assured me very strongly that he has no intention of sending his troops into Ukraine." This in spite of what our intel said. Don't really see what your beef is with Biden's response.

Nuclear Brinksmanship as I predicted. Dumber than dirt. This one could come closer to Armageddon than 1962 before, we hope to God, all concerned come to their senses, or in the case of the White House, all that still have a brain come to their senses.
They call it MAD for a reason (Mutually Assured Destruction).

Once the door is open to nuclear threats, you can forget about the strength and impact of sanctions. It's too late for that - go back and read about the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Now that Putin has looked down his nuclear sights at us, it is very possible that the President will be advised to go to DEFCON 2 so that he doesn't look like a weak twink.

Armageddon begins with tests of willpower, image and pride & escalates on that basis.

No Nuclear Superpower leader wants to appear that he is cowed by a nuclear threat from the other side.

Hilarious hypothetical, except for all the parts that have no basis in fact.

I was wondering what the military alert status is right now. It seems it should not be asleep at the wheel.

Meeting my Navy son Wed to help him with a vehicle, etc. Surprised he can leave his base area.

Putin has laid it out pretty clear he intends to recognize the independence (cough, cough, annex) 2 areas of the Ukraine. He is moving troops into those areas and shelling has been going on from Russia backed rebels. It is only a matter of time before he begins sending the rebel troops into the remaining area followed by his troops. If the Ukraians fight, it will be a blood bath. If they do not fight, it will be like Hitler taking over with the same draconian measures of Hitler and Stalin.
Biden added sanctions today and Europe will follow. The Russian market is already collapsing so Putin is being pushed further into the corner. If he does act, he will isolate Russia especially financially. If he does not, he might as well resign. Russia will fall into chaos. Former Russian Generals are coming out against Putin. Support within Russia could erode quickly. Question is, is there a group that can throw Putin out before it is too late?

The right wingers on here sound like they’re cheering for Russia.

Who? Where? I know your only move is to make shit up because there is no way you can defend any ANY of Biden’s decisions, moves, actions, policies, nothing. You voted for this b.s. now you and everyone else get to live with it. Thanks for being so smart. Thanks for being so insightful. You really knocked it out of the park.

Old Lyndon B Cheeky Schneider looking for his next Vietnam. Must have some Boeing stock

Some of us have heeded and are tired of being the world's police. Let Europe stand up united if they don't like it. Now if China gets involved to then there will be a need, but Russia is a gas station with nukes, I would think some other nuclear powers could take on that fight united.

You'd have to think somebody will knock him off.

We're playing this pretty well. When you're enemy is destroying themselves, be sure to stay out of their way.
