A reminder, I don't hunt south Texas and I don't hunt high fence...not that there's anything wrong with that but I have always hunted west Texas. It's closer to my home. These are just solid west Texas deer from our little 2500 acres on the Spade Ranch. Spent 12 years managing and feeding protein (pellet and cottonseed). I think we lost quite a few of our older/mature bucks last winter (Arctic Blast) as I'm seeing mostly 3 - 4 year old bucks ...and younger. Got a few BIG 8's that are impressive. Oh well, I'm still looking forward to hunting season and spending time videoing the animals...as well as dropping a lot of HOGS and COYOTES!
