I thought I would jump in on
this thread because I need advise from the eye docs here... My eyes are a
real mess. In 1986 just before the great TCU win by Sherrill's bunch, I
had RK surgery on both eyes in Houston. It gave me better than 20/20
for over 16 years. When I turned 50(9 years ago), I started getting
progressively worse until I needed contacts again. Soft ones at first
but eventually I needed hard contacts because my corneas are warped and
soft contacts would fluctuate during the day. The hard ones work better,
keeps corneas from warping as bad, but are unconfortable as hell and
hard to get in and out. I asked if Lasik would work but no was the
answer for RK patients. A specialist told me I needed cornea transplants
and then maybe soft contacts after that??? I need help...can one of you
